Chop was today's Inktober prompt and to celebrate my home D&D game, I added a goblin ear to the kukri! Congrats to my players for defeating a whole cave of 'em. Lost Mine of Phandelver's going nice and slow. The poem's a bit depressing, but I'm fond of it! Below is the transcription of the poem:
it doesn't feel right
it's too cold. too heavy.
why can't I just chop
it off? it shouldn't
feel like a broken
crystal, each chunk
larger than the one
before--drained of
colour.
I wrapped it in three
pages of newspaper.
I tried to protect it.
See? Page two, here,
the obituaries. Why
can't I just chop it
off and join the rest
of them?
