INKTOBER 2018: Clock, Day 14

Art and Poem by Miguel Guerreiro Lourenço

I went for an hourglass as my Inktober Clock prompt illustration. Borrowed from the lil' scene I built yesterday with the Dwarven guardian. As for the poem, shout-out to our inevitable doom. Below is the transcription:

let me be long dead,

when the seas turn into

the great plains of salt rock,

stretching into eternity.

skeletal silhouettes wave them

all goodbye.

let me have decomposed,

way before the grasslands

dry under the unforgiving

ever-burning forge in the sky.

let me rest amongst

those whose warnings

went unheeded. I want

our voices to haunt them

all, until they too close

their eyes forever.
