October 2nd's Tranquil, and that prompted me to draw a cute little owl whose sleeping all cuddled up inside a tree. I used a reference of a screech owl! There is also a poem, inspired by a breathtaking view I witnessed while in Portugal in this year, in the village of Monsanto. Below is the transcription:
portuguese voices echo
as I sit atop a stone
that rose from the ground
centuries ago
clouds are reflected upon
endless hills and crops
extended far into the
horizon
no air this pure has ever
filled my aching lungs before.
it smells like home.
