GAME OF THRONES: ASCENT: QA & Editing
I played GoT: Ascent extensively back in the day, as well as engaging in their player forums. It was a pretty tight-knit community and when they sent out a role call for Testers, I jumped on that opportunity straight away.
It was an entirely remote position, with Skype calls and email chains being kept between the tester workgroups and the Disruptor Beam team. While I worked on several builds and launches of the game, the experience of working on a live ops game was incredibly insightful. From offering editing services through spreadsheets, brainstorming fixes and QA'ing the entire build, along with store features and new features, my experience with Game of Thrones: Ascent was a perfect stepping stone.
