For Inktober's Angular prompt I went with a D&D inspired piece. A d20 whittled from bone, followed by a poem about late self-preservation. every letter of the first word eventually spells Angular. Inspired by Robert MacFarlane in "The Lost Words". Below is the transcription:
a sharp blade,
n urtured by pain and
g rief, now nestled
u nder my jaw.
l istening and feeling my
a nxious pulse--it
r eassures you:
I still want to live.
'Angular'
