As a throwback to SCAVs, the webcomic I co-created with Anna Zee, I drew a sun with their spaceship coming out, full speed. As for the poem, I was inspired by an abusive relationship growing up. Below is the transcription:
I wept, wanting for the implosion
of a star that had blinded me
that had burnt me
that had boiled -----
my blood and scorched my
temper.
had his --------- gravitational pull
been weaker and I stronger
perhaps... perhaps,
I would have turned out differently
before his flame finally dissipated.
