INKTOBER 2018: Weak, Day 15

Art and Poem by Miguel Guerreiro Lourenço

Even if the prompt might have alluded to actual weakness, I wanted to portray growth rather than stagnant weakness; making up for the heavy subject from yesterday's Inktober illustration. The poem goes well along with sapling illustration. Below is the transcription:

even if the milk of fatigue

coats your muscles in soreness,

know that tomorrow brings with

it relief, bathed in pinks and oranges.

sunrise will kiss your eyes shut,

so grant yourself the rest needed,

for no new day dawns unseeded.
